Coaching Staff Directors: Brian Newell Coach Newell has coached youth and high school football for 17 season's.  He is the head coach of the Chantilly Vikings.  His teams have won nine Fairfax County Championships and five Metropolitan Area Super Bowl Championships in a row.  Coach Newell was named Fairfax County Youth Football Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2003. Coach Newell also coaches varsity running backs and linebackers at 2006 VA AAA Division 6 runner up Chantilly High School. Coach Newell will be working with running backs and linebackers at the camp. Brent Newell Coach Newell has been coaching High School football in Fairfax County for eleven years.   Coach Newell brings the  latest linebacker techniques that the high schools are using to our camp.  Coach Newell is also our resident expert on weight training.  Coach Newell works with the linebackers and offensive line. Mark Stockenberg Mark coached at Oakton High School for 11 years, nine as the Varsity Linebackers Coach and Defensive Coordinator.  In 2000, Mark left the Northern Virginia Area and served as the Linebackers Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator for Averett University for two years.  From there, his coaching career continued at Hargrave Military Academy where he served as the Wide Receivers Coach, Quarterbacks Coach, Recruiting Specialist, and Offensive Coordinator for the Post-Graduate football program.  Mark then moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he served as the Linebackers Coach, Recruiting Specialist, and Co-Defensive Coordinator at Colorado College for several years.  Mark returned to the Northern Virginia Area last year and he is the Football Rep for Riddell.   Staff: Ray Gordon Coach Gordon has over 20 years experience coaching youth football. His teams have appeared in over 16 County championship games winning 10 of those and 5 Metro Super Bowls. Coach Gordon is respected throughout the Metro area as an excellent teacher of fundamentals and specializes in defensive play. Coach Gordon will work with receivers and linebackers. Steve Gombos Coach Gombos has ten years of experience coaching youth football.  As a defensive Coordinator, his teams have reached the Fairfax County Championship game nine times, winning it seven times. He played Defensive Back at Lafayette College, a 1-AA school in Easton PA, that competes in the Patriot League. Coach Gombos will work with defensive backs and Quarterbacks. Blair Meason Coach Meason has coached youth football for nine years. He has been on the Vikings staff for seven County Championships and four Metro Bowl Championships.  Coach Meason is known through out the county as the best Offensive Line coach around.  He continually attends clinic's to improve his knowledge of line play.  He spoke before 100 coaches last season on "Zone Blocking" at a coaches clinic.  Coach Meason concentrates on Offensive and defensive line play. Lee Towne Coach Towne has been coaching youth football for seven years.  He has been on the Vikings staff for all seven County Championship and five Metro Championships.  Lee is the utility coach.  He has a broad knowledge of football and can help coach all positions.  Coach Towne focuses on the defensive side of the ball and also with the Running backs.  Richard Finelli Coach Finelli has 7 years experience coaching youth football and has appeared in five straight County championship games and won 2 - Metro Super Bowl Championships. Prior to coaching he won two Metro Super Bowls as a player. Coach Finelli will work with quarterbacks and defensive backs.   Tim Tyler Coach Tyler has been with the Vikings program for 7 championship years, the last 4 as assistant coach.  He brings a wealth of knowledge of the game and of youth athletics. Coach Tyler played Offensive and Defensive Line at East Carolina University. He has also coached championship youth baseball, basketball, and soccer teams over the past 13 years. Coach Tyler will be working with the offensive and defensive lines.
